Hi,
I am considering (re)introducing Partridge Wyandotte into a line of Partridge Chantecler. Partridge Chantecler sources seem to be few and far between, and I don't want to create a line exclusively from the single pair that I own. (Any comments about the feasibility and desirability of this are welcome -- though perhaps this is the wrong sub-forum for that -- I am new to this sort of thing. But, be assured that I do not expect to cross them and then start selling or showing the first generation offspring as either Wyandottes or Chanteclers; I understand that this project will require significant time and effort.)
So, I am looking for some standard size Partridge Wyandottes. Google searches are revealing that this might be just as difficult as finding Partridge Chanteclers!
My preference would be for hatching eggs. I have found the chicks at Paul's Poultry Farm, but $220 for the minimum order of 24 is a bit more than I was hoping to invest initially, especially since I don't really want 24 (their minimum order) but perhaps I could buy 24 and resell some locally.
I live in Maine.
Thanks,
Tim
